After an unfortunate postponement due to volcano-related circumstances, the SF Chapterhouse tour is back on! We apologize for any false hope bubble burstage or any other inconvenience that has transpired due to the show postponement, and we will gladly issue full refunds if requested. And of course, all previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date.If you didn't purchase a ticket yet, we recommend purchasing one here & now as this show will most likely sell out!

Chapterhouse: "We have been forced to reschedule our upcoming tour of North America. We are all extremely disappointed that this is our only course of action, but wish to stress that the tour is being postponed, not cancelled. Please go to the website www.chapterhouse.info in a few hours time for a full statement. Thank you - Andy, Stephen, Simon and Ashley"

Chapterhouse are a British shoegazing band of the early 1990s, originally from Reading, Berkshire, England. Formed in 1987 by Andrew Sherriff and Stephen Patman, the band began performing alongside Spacemen 3. After the band split, Sheriff later formed Biocom. They were initially compared to the British acid rock scene, a mistake hardly rectified by the band's early performances supporting the rather laid-back Spacemen 3. Chapterhouse eventually found themselves associated with the shoegazer groups of 1991 (with the likes of Lush, Ride, Moose and Slowdive), so called because of the bands' static live shows and insular music.

Ulrich Schnauss was born in the northern German seaport of Kiel in 1977. He became interested in a range of music: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Tangerine Dream, Chapterhouse, and early bleep & breakbeat tracks. There was not much opportunity to see his musical influences in Kiel, so he moved to Berlin in 1996.
